Thanks for making me feel welcome,
i have had patrols all my driving life ( 21 years ), i had 2 g 60s, (still got 2 just not regoed) 2 mqs, ( 1 ute, 1 wagon) 2 gqs ( still got the ute, sold the wagon ) 2 gu wagons, traded the 2000 di in 09 for my current one.
My 09 has a 3 inch exhaust, duel dawes with needle valve ( low dawes set to 10 psi, high dawes set to 22 psi) ,crosscountry intercooler, dp chip set on 9 ( max ).
I have started pre turbo water/meth setup but run out of money atm to finish it.
Also working running a fatz fab air box and modifying my intake to the turbo.
I like moding my engine trying to drag the most out of it, i do all the work my self because i enjoy doing it.
I have made a lot of mistakes along the way but i try and learn from them, thats what i love about forums, because there is always someone waiting to give advice.

Kind regards
Nigel

Hi again Nigel I run a DP chip as well don't you think its blows too much black smoke set on 9.

When i first put the dp chip on it was set on 5, and my car was unmodified. It blew to much black smoke set on the standard 5. This is why i fitted the dawes, i knew i need more air to get the fuel ratios right.
My CRD was set a factory boost level of 14.5 psi. When i fitted the dawes, i set up at 16 psi and this helped with the black smoke problem, but it still was noticeble on take off. I fitted the crosscountry intercooler and this helped with egts but didnt elimenate the black smoke. I then went to the 3 exhaust ( no pussy cats will be hurt in my setup ) and this fixed the over fueling down low problem, but caused a turbo surge problem. I ended up adjusting the vnt stop screw down half a turn in the end. I found half a turn suits my setup well, because i can now can run my needle valve closed with no turbo surge if i wish for really fast spoolup. This setup pretty much got rid of the over fuelling problem down low, so i experimented with the higher settings. On setting 9 i found i needed to run 22 psi to keep egts down to be able to tow, so this where i am atm.
