View Full Version : Hello All!!, Need some help on a conversion for a Y61 TD42 2000 to use an AT tranny

Hello All, I am located in Central AMerica, (Panamá), and nobody here has ever done an adaptation of a automatic transmission to a TD42;
I have a Y61 Patrol that used to be a 2.8TD, but the engine got fire and it was fitted with a TD42 engine;
everything is working fine at the exception of the automatic trasnmission as I was told that there is no where to take "electronic" measuarements to make the At tranny work with the new TD42 engine;
Does any one have an idea of where can I get information on how to do this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've also have a 2005 ZDDi30 Patrol and I need the manuals for Air conditioner as the Blower motor stopped working and it seems it is the "brain" from the AC malfunction as the blower works fine when you apply voltage to it.

Welcome dlogiudice.

The 4.2 Diesel with an auto, was not sold as standard here in Australia, but some members have performed the modification, and hopefully they will chip in to help you out.
