Anyone help me with an injector on a tractor?

Hi guys,

I have a farmliner 445 tractor that I just fitted a new injector pump to. It is gear driven and I was careful to make sure eveything went back same as it came out so I didn't stuff up the timing. Have mannually bled the system and got the air out but when I crank it over I am not getting any fuel coming out the injector lines?.:1087:

The pic is of the old injector but you get the idea.

Know I am asking bit but before I call the diesel guy here and sell my next born and their first born to pay for it, anyone have any idea I might try?

sound like there could be a wire off,had this prob not long ago on a JD,where the fuel pick up is on top of the tank you should find wires for the fuel pump,maybe this wire has come off or broken,,we took the plate of the floor and managed to get to it soldered it back up and away we went,if that doesn't help or wrong let me know and i'll ask me boss tomorrow.or tonight if I see him..

Does it have a fuel shut off solenoid? Going by the pick it may have. That rod running up the side of the pump maybe it???
If it is, see when you crank it over whether its moving or not. If its shut off it wont let the fuel through. Also you need to know if the solenoid is energized to run or energized to shut down.
If that lever it what I think it is and it doesn't move, get someone to move in the opposite direction whilst you crank it.

Thats all I got from my old Perkins days.

That injector pump has no cut off solenoid, it's a "pull stop" Bleed the be jesus at the pump, loosen number 1 injector, whiz the crap out of it , when it starts, tighten the injector, the cut off lever needs to be forward. aerostart is your friend here!!

x2^^ make sure you have bled the pump completely, there will be 1 maybe 2 bleed screws on the pump. I can see on the side of the pump at the end towards the fuel lines and there might also be 1 at the other end near the mounting flange.

Appreciate the feed back gents. Fuel is gravity fed to the fuel transfer pump (seen under the injector pump) the primer lever is located at its base.

2 bleed screws on the injector pump, one you can see right near the injectormline outlets and the other is on the other side at the top, pr!ck to get to but have bled them till now just diesel flows, no bubbles of air at all. Uses a thermostart plug instead of glow plugs. Twin filters which have both been bled, no air left.

Correct in that this is a lever shut off for the fuel and I have double checked the correct direction. Will muck with it again this afternoon when I get back from work.

when I pump,the primer I can hear the diesel flow back to the tank through the return line so know it is getting through. The attached pick is better detail of fuel system setup.

Had this problem with a David Brown, when they did the pump they put the stop control on back to front, Pull out to run, push in to stop
That will most probably be the trouble

Finally got it going. Re-bled the whole system and checked the stopmlever etc. Found it was the throttle lever on the pump. Was not opening to let fuel flow. Took the leber off and manually worked it open with set of pliers and this seemed to work. Old girl now fires up and runs like a dream. Thank you all for the assistance.
