Has anyone used this stuff? I saw a can of it for twenty dollars, at the local disposals store. Its supposed to give a water tight seal. I forgot to get the brand name.

yes i have used it and it works very well. be aware though it DOES NOT peel off like normal tape and is near impossible to remove once placed. I used in on my winch motor terminals and thoutht i's trim it up later and neaten things up! No Joy! it kind of etched into the motor housing and there was no removing it.

For what it does its very good. it is not thick though and you will likely need a couple of coats if your after a Heat Shrink type finish.

Sounds good, but not to be used on connectors. Thanks for heads up, MR.

using on teh connectors will be fine if you dont intend to unplug or remove them. But you will hev to go a knife to cut it off and you would have to scrape off what you dont want. looks a little messy and teh brusk insode is not like a Liquid Paper brush which is what i expected. Water proof though for sure.

Thanks, blokes. A tube of this stuff would be a good addition to my toolbox.

Use it at work almost daily. Really good stuff. We remove it with a torch, heat it up and then just slice 'n dice it off with a knife, or really hea tit up and generally it just melts off.

Buy the small tin rather than tube, less chance of splitting in the tool box. I use it often.

Ive got a tube rattling around in my tool box. Great stuff, wouldnt recommend using it in a small area for to long, it smells pretty nasty. I use it when i wire anything up now
