Howdy,

Been putting off doing a lot of stuff with the Maverick since we bought the house, but am getting to the stage where I can devote a bit of time to pampering the bunny wagon with some TLC, maintenance and upgrades.

BA kindly sorted me out with a new battery and a second spare rim at the weekend, and I've finally bought a new set of handbrake shoes to throw at her, but my mind is turning to internal mods.

One thing I've put off for a while is pulling out the rear passenger seats and adding in a water tank and storage, as my last company car was a two seat Getz. My new runabout is a Mondeo wagon though, so there is really no reason why I can't dispense with the extra arsepads in the back.

Has anyone else done it? Did you just bolt a plywood sheet into the seat mounts and build from there or what?

I've been looking at some of the contoured water tanks too, the ones that take the transmission tunnel hump into account, anyone have one? Are they any chop?

Guessing your talking middle row?
Yes, heaps do to add all sorts of things from fridges, extra storage boxes to making a flat area to fit a queen mattress in the back.

What ever you do just mate sure it's secure as there is nothing between it and you..

Yeah man, middle row.
Yup, don't fancy getting cleaned up by a 50l waeco at high speed, hahaha. Everything will be more secure than Fedors wallet in a shopping mall.

And you have a lot of bolt hole options to choose from..
Have you thought about putting tanks etc behind the seats and lite luggage like pillows and bedding etc in the middle row??
