Welcome mate. Good to see another sa here although not for good reasons.
We're there any symptoms before the car died?
And what's it doing now?
Can you turn it over??

Do you have the Nissan anti theft system in it that reads a transponder in the key?
Will have a red light on top of the dash that flashes when key is out and should go out with key in.

Yes it has

Is the light going out with the key in?

Yes it has

Did you take home the right car??? Lol

If all that seems to be working fine and all the glow system seems to be working the I'd check fuel.. How long since the fuel filter was done? Or has any work on the Fuel system been done?

I wondered if it was the anti theft device.
How do I get my only key checked out to see if that's the problem ?

I had that problem and payed Nissan a load of money to take three days to fix it.
I think Mudrunner had the same problem the other day and fixed it, will have a look for the thread.

The fuel filter was changed about 18 months ago and fuel lines cleaned.
When the key is in and the ignition is on the light on the dash goes off,
The old girl got towed home.

If the light goes off anti theft should be ok.
Did you have fuel pressure, pump primer and is tight?

In my case it was the NATS that prohibited the car from starting, it cranked but didn't fire. If the light goes of as you insert the key and turns it that should not be the problem. I drilled the electronics off the diesel pump and I am glad to have removed that nonsense from the bus :D

Give some more info to your problem and progress

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum mate,

The guys are steering you right but I highly recommend that you start a new thread in the Auto Electrical section about your issues and the likes of Yendor will sort you out. Sounds like trouble with your NATS to me too. The immobiliser has a fuel solenoid cutoff circuit. Mine is a TD42 which is different but Yendor has the ZD30 and says its easier to sort out on that.

Thanks guys.
The only thing I know is it was driving fine, went to the shop for the dear wife
(They didn't have what she wanted) so I blame her !!! Wasted trip!!!
And the old girl ( the bus not the wife !!!) wouldn't start when I got
Back to her ????? The RAA did tap the fuel tank but it still wouldn't start.
It always started 1st turn before but now it turns over just won't fire up.
