Hi All, Just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself.

I've owned my GU 1999 2.8 patrol for a year now. Lovin' getting out there in the bush and doing up the truck to try new tracks and improve my driving experiences.
One of my mates (Al - probably a member here too) introduced me to the idea of owning a Patrol, as I was set on buying a Landcruiser at the time. I thought that the Toyotas were a good choice (which they still kind of are) but Al convinced me of the better build quality and reliability of the Patrols. (not sure about the 3.0s though).

So here I am now looking at getting a performance chip (as most 2.8 owners probably do):

Welcome aboard, I think we all look for a bit of extra power and fuel economy in these busses :D like the sound from the 2.8 more smooth than the 4.2

Thanks guys feeling very warmly welcomed!

I've ordered the Donator chip and a few gauges and a TM4 watchdog to see what the differences are and let me know if anything is about to go bang!

Looking forward to the ideas and opinions of you guys. Next I'll have a 3" exhaust put on and hopefully it'll drive more like a nice truck and less like a bus!

Thanks All. Feeling very welcomed. We put a 3" exhaust on last weekend. Sounds great and spools up a bit quicker too.
