centre console swap for dx ute

hey guys

has anyone got a write up with all the part numbers etc to do the st center console conversion into a dx bench seat setup ?

Nissan wont help me unless i get a VIN

also can you use the center console of a wagon or does it have to be of a st ute ?

No mate, just buy a Passenger seat from a Wagon and a Centre Console from a Wagon and they will bolt straight in.

No part numbers but as well as the seats (which as MR says will bolt straight in) you will need:

The console
The correct handbrake lever for the console (different to the DX - DX one would fit & work, but would look like crap because it doesn’t have the same rubber on it.)
The rectangular ‘frame’ which sits under the gearshift surround (different to DX - has single central mounting point for console - DX one has two mounting points on it in different spots).

You don't have to install the frame around the gear leaver, the carpet has press studs for the leather boots as well,
Also if you find a wrecker with a ute let me know I need the vent out of the rear outside wall ( sodding dog ate one of them)

Yeah I did mate, sorry I can imagine you finding the teeth marks or maybe the remnants of what was left. Damn that dog! I'd be p1ssed. A part of me finds it bloody amusing though! That part of me that does not own the dog or the ute in question! ;)

Press studs weren’t the issue. Frames were almost identical but the reason for switching them was that the the ST centre console has a different single central mount (captive nut) in the frame. The frame from the DX has two captive nuts, but they are in the wrong position for the ST console.
