12 of you would be breaking the law......plus I'm sure there are 3 trouble makers :)
But according to the draft bill, a party is a gathering of twelve or more people. And it is considered out-of-control if three people at that party do something like be drunk in a public place, cause excessive noise, unreasonably block the path of a pedestrian, litter in a way that might cause harm to the environment, or use "indecent" language.
The punishment for holding a party that gets out-of-control? A $12,000 fine or a year's jail. In other words, a party host is punished for the actions of party guests. For good measure, the bill allows police to enter property uninvited without a warrant.

I'd love to see them enforce that rule across Gold Coast right now (schoolies). Hundreds of apartments choc a block of drunk teens.

So, we can invent laws about whatever some knobjockey decides one day and its passed in the next , I think its about time we had a law that makes it illegal for politicians to lie ?
Law would include , automatic pay confiscation for 90 days, just one member of public needed to complain resulting in conviction, no court involvement, second offence their house gets crushed, and they go to jail.
Sounds totally reasonable when compared to all the other laws weve been subjected to recently don't you think ?

That pisses me off to no end that. They blatantly will lie to the public before election time just to get votes. Hence why I refuse to vote and haven't for the last two federal elections. I don't pay the fines either...

Unfortunately for us too Rod is that all other states will see how it unfolds and roll it out down here if successful...

This should also apply to corrupt cops. We hear now of lots of people that have been wrongly convicted because of some cops lying under oath or with holding evidence. The cops should have all their superannuation paid to the victim and have all his assets sold and the proceeds granted to the victim.... Also the the cop should spend the amount of time in prison that the victim did.
