As the title says whats the best gopro out ATM and where is the best/ cheapest place to buy one?
We're getting one for my father inlaws birthday and we would prefer to purchase it from a shop or somewhere with a fixed address for warranty reasons rather than some random on ebay or the like.

any info would be great .

Cheers fellas ,

Troy

Hey Mega. Can't comment whats the best one at the moment. I'll assume it's the GoPro 3 black ?? Someone can correct me.
I've got the HD 2 and when I was in the market for it I shopped around and Jb Hifi gave me the best deal. Maybe give them a go ?

X2 would be very interested in this, want to get one before the weekend. First time Zeus (nickname for the trol we thought of because I'm proud of the lights lol) will be off-road since the purchase is this weekend.

I would stick with the silver. if you can get a pack with the wifi remote then even better. The black sounds great but to be honest your father in law will not use a 1/4 of the features of the Silver and the quality of the silver to the black is almost beyond the human eye and certainly beyond 99% of the TVs out there.

But.........Hes not really buying it for the father in law to use (haha)

Mega, The frame rate and resolution is the big difference, to get to a decent frame rate on a silver , you need to select 4:3 ratio (square instead of widescreen) , non widescreen is pretty much not cool anywhere these days !

Id go a Black plus if he is a really top bloke and will let you use it like you hope ?

Not sure how it is now but when I was looking at them there was about $100 difference between the silver and black and the black came with the wifi remote, which cost about $80 alone.

Just go back to Harvey Norman and get them to better the price from JB hi-fi, you should also be able to get them to chuck in a couple of other items at a heavily reduced price or get them to give you free extended warranty......... keep an eye out on their websites for pricing

And do you get editing software with the gopro??

Stropp
20th November 2013, 11:40 AM
and if he has an iphone or ipad he can get the free gopro app to see what the gopro sees while driving along and to operate it, the best accessory there and its free.

And do you get editing software with the gopro??

Gopro Cineform Studio is free from the gopro web site, personally, ive had better success just using windows movie maker (also free) , but i must admit, i have not used the very latest software download of Cineform yet.
