Hey every1 , was just wondering if any1 here could recommend a good dual battery system I can use , with my 75-100amp (unsure of wat it actually is no stickers on it) crank battery and a 105amp deep cycle auxiliary battery, a long time ago when I first bought my truck the original dual battery system failed and auto electricians put new in for me. But it's all manual isolation but every time I start up it cranks off both batteries , I've gone thro 2 auxiliary batteries so far and I gotta change this system

I will be fitting a dual batt system in as one of my first jobs for camping etc. would like to have the started battery isolated to be stay fully charged for starting and run all acc off aux batt with maybe a solar charger trickling into the batteries. there are so many choices off ebay etc that I don't really know what is needed. I do have a good electrical knowledge (sparky) and want to fit it myself. is what I have described how most systems operate?
