Gu4500 Oil Filter

Is it possible too use a larger oil filter than standard on a 4500 Petrol/LPG since the listed one seems to be quite small
Maybe I have got it wrong but I am a bit Hyper about Sludging since we own a Saab 9-3 and a larger (Falcon ) filter helps solve the problem.
