Anyone got any first hand experience with PPR 15. Howd it go. From what I read I can use it on rust to stop it spreading any further! Soooo this is important to how im gunna treat Agathas tin worm issue in the floor. If I can just cut out the rust holes and weld in patches rather than cut out half the bloody floor pan that has surface pitting but no holes my life will be easier and happier.

Por15 is the bomb. If the instructions are followed properly, it works very well and creates a very durable layer that is hard to remove. I wouldn't use it directly on rust as shown in your photo, I'd cut that rust out and weld new sections in then por 15 the entire floor section, 3 coats at least. Then remove the under carpet crap which holds water and promotes rust.

A little portable sand blaster is the go, that way you get rid of the rust ,and have a exellent base for the POR15.
Ive got POR15 on areas of the floor , plus my chassis rails, diffs , and various bolts and stuff around the place.
FYI, the KBS stuff is exactly the same as the POR, but cheaper ,for the record, i used both products on my own car, all within 2 days of each other , plus have tested real world usage on my car, so i did/am comparing apples with apples.

I was about to put up a link to KBS Rustseal, but see the 04OFF beat me to it. I used it on the chassis of my patrol & can confirm it is tough stuff. Put it on with a brush & get a great smooth finish. The chassis was badly stone chipped with resulting spots of rust. I used KBS’s 3 stage approach, which includes degreaser, (Aquaclean) rust treatment (Rust Blast) & RustSeal in satin black. Goes a long way but have to take care not to tip too much out of the can at once, & avoid using in hot conditions. Very happy with the result.

Do you recall the cost per litre Steve??
Sorry mate i cant remember, i spent that much money on my junk, i stopped counting costs, a mate who worked at a paint supply shop put me on to the KBS stuff (he sold both POR15 and KBS).
Aha ....... a fellow ‘black spotter’! :)
Yes brother, my mate warned me too, and i actually wore gloves, goggles and a full rain coat and leggings to do my chassis/diffs etc.
Problem is , it took that long to do it all, i did not realise my raincoat jacket had unknowingly ripped, , yet i was not concerned about where the stuff may touch my person , as i "thought" i was protected
mmm, its not a good look at all, next day i wrapped my arms in masking tape to avoid the stains from getting me again, the crap still got on me in places anyway, and now my arms came out in a really bad rash from the tape, so it was a skin fail all round....................the car looked good tho !

I bought mine online. Cost $66 per litre. Then I found it at a local paint supplier for a few dollars less. As I said, it goes a long way. If I were you I’d buy a litre & see how you go. Might be enough to do inside & out. Don’t be tempted to buy one of those ‘PreVal’ sprayers though, I did & found even with the paint thinned down as recommended it didn’t work too well. Given that you obviously don’t want to be doing it again in a year or two, if it were me I’d use the preparation sprays too. They do kits with everything in to cover 4.6SqM for $98. http://www.kbs-coatings.com.au/kbs-chassis-coater-kit
It’d be worth having a browse around on their web site, there’s quite a lot of info, plus links to youtube videos I think. I used their Blacktop top coat as well, but you wouldn’t need that.
I’m not saying it’s any better than POR15, I don’t know, have never used it, although I remember many years ago when POR15 first came out that it was THE stuff to use inside rusty motorcycle fuel tanks.

I sand blasted 3 of these on the inside to remove rust, one had holes ,
I just poured in some POR15 it levelled its self, and now I can boil water,
Highly recommend as a tough coating on anything auto
At the after market show in Melb at Jeffs shed there was a similar product but I've forgotten the name.
Not much out there ATM that's better than POR15

Great stuff Por15, used it on the floor of an old Holden one tonner I had, floor was completely covered in bad surface rust and pin holes, once fixed I had the ute for years and it never came back,
Just make shore you follow the instructions and you will have no problems.
