Hey guys,
I have snapped the LH rear sway bar link rod. Will anything happen if I don't replace it for a couple of weeks? Are the adjustable one a better option than the originals?

Covo,

A snapped Link Rod will just mean that you have no rear sway bar, and some run that way permanently, so it should be OK.

I bought fixed longer ones, but am looking at adjustables.

You will probly only notice anything if you have to swerve to avoid something, when i snapped mine, i could not feel the difference with normal driving.

Dont know about the adjustable ones sorry

Unless are you talking about disconnects ?

Yep, if you don't want it to dangle down, and then bounce around with every bump .... :)

I can't see why not, I would just disconnect from inside the cab.

I have had my sway bars out in the GQ for the last 6 years, I drive on road like I was off road anyway *L*

Don't listen to him, he was about to sell her. Damn traitor.......

Two mates of mine run no rear sway bars at all. As said above, it's gonna be noticeable when swerving or tank slapping but other than that they drive ok.

Don't GU's have a lever to disconnect the rear sway bar like the GQ's?

Don't think so Todd. Think that was only some of the fancy GQ's

Don't think there is anything in the cab to release. Although took it through the bush last night with only one side connected and couldn't feel the difference anyway. That was my excuse to the wifey to go and test the car. Hahaha. Might have to test it again when I get back from work. Cheers

I had that lever on my GQ ...... did it actually do anything or was it only there to make GQ owners feel better about themselves .....
