Next door to us is Aboriginal housing, 1st day they moved in their Kids ruined some of our Christmas lights, and it just got worse from there on in. Old love got on the courage juice a few weeks ago and then decided it would be nice for her to start shooting off her mouth out the front of her house.....

I had a bad experience driving in convoy through the Alice, one of the locals jumped up on the running board of my truck abusing us, my co-driver punched him in the head and he fell off in the traffic. Now that I think about it, it was he that had the bad experience :)

So sorry to hear that it is you that has to move mate. We had a similar prob in one of the houses we rented, the used to use our yard as their bin and just throw their rubbish over the fence wether we were out there or not (not good when you have a toddler crawling around). To the point that we had a party for the wife's 21st and the next thing they started throwing stones at our guests (luckily no one got hit) and even after calling the cops there was nothing we could do. The only difference it made was they caused even more poo.

Really do feel for ya man.

Yeah it's bad, they have 4 kids in there (ages 2,4,8,11) as well, I've seen animals that are better behaved and the reality of it is that these kids have a shot future too because of the parents. She's aboriginal and he's Aussie go figure, he's probably along for the free ride.

I've seen them put 1 of the kids in the front passenger footwell when they've all gone in the 1 car, they 2 older ones we have seen roaming the shops 4km away. I've almost run over them coming around the corner after work. They get on the roof of the house, jump on the roof of one of the cars. Litter everywhere and be a general pain in the @ss

Unfortunately for us when we bought our house it was a vacant property and only 6 months later we found out what was to happen.

While we can half put up with it, I don't want my 1 and 3 year olds to have to grow up listening to that shit, we want to teach them values, not think it will be ok for them at ages 7 and 11 to be saying "f@ck you" to their parents like the kids next door do.

The cops do nothing we reported it to docs and they seem to do nothing as well, something will give one day and I hope it isn't the loss of a life or a terrible injury/accident that needs to bring change.

Thanks for listening and the support guys, really appreciate it.

Cheers,
Eric.

Got nothing to do with race..... I have lived next door to white Australians like that.

I grew up in St Kilda and the crap I saw with the natives there sickened me... watching a group of skinny ass women gang bashing some poor bloke because they asked him for money.. the men just stood back and watched.

My saying for years was "I'm not racist I just hate stupid people"........

Sorry if someone fears for their own or loved ones safety be it physical or otherwise, it needs to be dealt with by the authorities. There were racist comments by that lovely commentator, but once again that seems to be ignored.

On a lighter note, maybe she needs to audition for Housos :)

Got nothing to do with race..... I have lived next door to white Australians like that.

Yeah I know. My Neighbors 10 years back when we built in South Morang were worse. He was as aussie as it got too. He would abuse anyone who would walk past his house, had loud music on outside everytime we tried to put the kid down for a sleep, towards the end of it he threatened to bash my wife and then an 8month old daughter. The cops did FA even though they were there every second day, so I did something about it. And luckily it paid off.
We know its got nothing to do with race, but we all see it...

Yes I'm definitely not playing racist here at all guys, I know there is bad people of all races, this is just my situation and certainly doesn't reflect on the entire aboriginal community.

It just saddens me that there is no respect and they play the cards they do because they feel they get treated differently, when in reality it's their actions and repercussions which makes them feel they get treated badly

Hi trekster,

In Vic the agent and landlord have a 'duty of care' that their tenant doesn't cause this type of crap, it's written into the fine print of the lease. Not sure if it applies in your situation but may be worth checking with the housing authority that controls the lease.
If you enjoy the area and don't want to move may be worth checking out, some small term pain for long term gain. Moving always costs.
No one should have to move because of their neighbours, I'm lucky I live in a court and the neighbours are great.

Hodge
6th November 2013, 02:19 PM
Apollo. You'll find that duty of care isn't worth the ink its printed with. We got issues with a neighbor and his V8s and using our little court as a daytona track. Pretty much the whole court has a complaint of some sort including police, sheriff, council and yet he remains there laughing.

We just had a Sudanese family move in over the weekend across the road and I don't care what color or religion they are, but these people don't give a s*it. In a span of 3 days they managed to destroy half a local council kids playground, smash the next doors window, keep everyone awake at all sorts of hours and have a massive fight with the above mentioned petrol-head because he keeps near-missing their 7 kids who are constantly on the road.
It's all fun and games at the moment. Had a serious talk with the wife about bringing our move north much closer timewise.

Feel your pain Trek.

I hear you Hodge, it use to be a good area with all the old wogs in my street but now they have moved to smaller places or past away and it seems the types moving in dont care for anyone around them except them selves ...

We to are looking at moving as I have had enough.... I am sure the value in this street has come down!!!!

The problem with around here is everyone is a tough guy or a wise guy... including the women!!

Hey mate I hear what you're saying, I've complained to the aboriginal housing department in Sydney who own the property, I've complained to the office looking after the tenancy, Police, DOCS..... Besides taking matters into my own hands there is not much more I can do.

That clip of audio was recorded in a period of approximately 1-1 1/2 hours in one night, 2x 000 calls and an hour and 3/4 later the police finally showed up, come speak to us and they are like "Do you want us to go talk to her?" We're like wtf? It's like we are being treated as the problem when we do nothing wrong, try and keep to ourselves never make loud noise etc etc.... The thing that annoys me most is that taxpayers like all of us and myself pay for them to be able to live there, when they don't understand how lucky they are to be living in a house at all, because they don't deserve it that's for sure, They have a chip on their shoulder and the whole world owes them something....

Just a side note to this,

My wife's uncle built a house in Coffs from stone he collected over many years(he's a builder) and after he sold the house, it wound up as a home for an indigenous family.

Funny thing was he had concrete aboriginals in the form of statues and birdbaths throughout the extensive gardens, years later when my wife and I went back to look at the house, all the black fellas had been painted white.

The wife and I had a great laugh about this.

un-bloody believable...you are doing the right thing even though it will be at a financial cost...your kids and the cook must be stressed with fear although they may not be showing it as much as you think...it is going to just get worse and possibly escalate to a worse scenario...just having the cops seen at your door is incinderary...you and your tribe are in a no win situation there....

I hope the sale goes through for you mate...maybe a bit un-fortunate for the buyer but stuff it...it is now a self preservation situation...a change to a better environment will create a better harmony and state of mind for your family...you all need that at any cost I think...

So here is an update for everyone, We sold the house and moved out early January into the in-laws house, We spotted a house we liked a bit further north of Coffs and went and looked at it, and ended up buying it! We are now on just under 1.4acres of land, the nearest neighbours are a good 1/2 a k away from us, and we are surrounded by blueberry farms! We settled this Friday then its all hands on deck building a temporary fence to stop the kids running too far around the yard lol.
