Patch697 is Paul who is up there now and has moved most of his things to higher ground.

Spoke to him yesterday and was just waiting for the water to come up. I think he was planning to leave the house and stay at his brothers place which is higher up in case he was stuck on that side of town and unable to get off the "island" so to speak.

Hoping to hear from him today or tomorrow to find out how he went.

Haven't really heard much from the other two members above but hope everyone is ok!

All of us are thinking of all our members who may be affected by Oz's floods but are concentrating on the Vics until we know they are safe.

Ok a bit of an update on things in the Wimmera.

This is my first real chance to get back on the forum for any length of time so I apologize for the slow reply.

We are all safe here in Dimboola, some home were inundated but no lives lost & due to the extraordinary efforts of the SES & the towns ppl as a hole the town was saved from what was the highest flood waters in recorded history.

The flood waters have subsided rather fast due to the Jeparit Weir falling to bits which in turn saved the town.

The Dimboola Weir was close to doing the same thing but didn't thank God cos that would have taken us out for sure.

May I please say a personal THANKS for all the support I received from so many of the members here with well wishes & offers of help.

This is something that has become & will remain permanently etched into my memory's.

A better bunch you couldn't ask for nor would I ever expect to find.

Best Regards

Paul
