Hey,

I feel stupid asking this but. Im doing the hunt around for some all terrain tyers.

Im thinking of going BF tyers.

My tyer size on my gu is 265/70/r16. BUT when i look onlin etc they come up like this 33x12.5 R15.

Please explain. HA HA HA! :smileyvault-cute-bi::

Does it mean i need to change my rims? Ive only got the standard rims that the ST come with???

33 it the old measurement for 15 inch tyres mate. you are after a 285(refers the same part 12.5 does) and 75(the 33 inch) 16 (rim size) mate

Just recently purchased Maxxis 265/75R16 AT-771 from Bob Jane

$1300 for 5 Fitted and Balanced together with a Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment was $55 and each tyre cost $249

More than happy

Not quiet Rusty but close 33' is diameter 12.5 is the width and 15" is the rim size
285/75/16 is 285 is width of tyre in mm, 75 is 75% of 285 will be your side wall height and 16" is rim
in real world terms about 33" x 11.5" x 16".
You are after a 265 which is about a 32" in the old money

I think when you go above 265 you exceed the ADR for the vehicle.

You need a tyre with L/T construction or light truck they are tougher than a H/T which you don't want
Do you want and all rounder. what type of driving do you do mainly.
I've had Kumho tyres and they were the noisiest tyre I've ever fitted, never again
Something like a Mickey Thomson 4 rib is a great all rounder, and come highly recommended by a lot here

Ill be driving it to and from work 3-4 days a week. Long trips, beach, Out bush for the day or weekend.

Great thanks so 80% on road and 20% off that's what most daily drivers do
Some run two sets of wheels but IMO you would like either the MT 4 rib has 80,000 k warranty I think
even the BFG all terrain is a great tyre and long wearing
