G'Day Fellow 'Trollers,

Thought I should give a friendly nod to all, having just signed up this morning.

First got my '95 RB30 back in 2000, when my kids were little and we needed extra seats (it was going to be either a people mover or a 4WD). It was a few years later, when the kids grew up a bit, that we discovered the joys of the 4WDing out here in the WA bush. We've had many years of fun camping in spots only the 'troll could reach, from the chilliest empty southern beaches up to the emptiest burning gorges in the Kimberley. Never did much work on the 'troll myself though, and mostly had the garage take care of her. The kids have now grown up and are going their own way, and my old RB has gotten pretty long in the tooth, so I came very close to selling her a few months back (and getting something "sensible"). Couldn't bring myself to do it though. Instead, I've pulled out the toolbox, and have been slowly working on bringing my old friend back into shape. She has nearly 300k on the clock, and (much like myself) she might never be as fit as she was as a youngster. But, if I keep on giving her the TLC she needs, I reckon we could have a good more happy years together before one of us gives up the ghost.

I've got the TLC to give, but not much in the way of expertise, so I've been lurking on these forums in the past few months, picking up great tips. Thanks for that guys. From time to time I have a question that I don't see raised by others, so now I can ask it myself.

Looking forward to talking with you all.

Best,

Colin

Yeah it was a good intro eh? Welcome Colin. Have I come across you on another forum previously? The moniker ‘ColinWA’ seems familiar somehow.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'll get a photo of the beast up in the next couple of days trekster - not much to look at, but a helluva good friend across these past years. You have some great days ahead of you Clunk, camping out there in the WA bush, and there's no better way to spend time with the family. I'll be happy to share our favourite spots with you. Top pick down south is Two People's Bay, 50 km or so east of Albany. You can camp right down on the beach, and there's not too much around except an old council sign saying "Camping is Permitted" - that's not something you often see these days, eh? Usually the other way around. I don't think we've connected in another forum Cuppa, as this stuff is new to me (must be some other Colin out here in WA), but it's good to meet you now. Same goes for all the rest of you fellow 'troller - - I appreciate you taking the time to make a new bloke feel right at home.
