G'day all,

Had the dual battery tray installed today and because of the aftermarket airbox I have, it is not in the normal place it would go, it is shifted towards the firewall by about an inch. Because of that, the standard overflow bottle does not fit now, so at the moment it is sitting in the tray where the battery belongs cable tied up.

I still have a space where the bottle should be but the bottle will have to be smaller. Is it as easy as buying a "universal" bottle? Would somewhere like Supercheap or Bursons have a beast like that? I've got two options and the maximum dimensions are 300x100x85 and 300x70x110

Would having a smaller bottle be a bad thing at all?

I have had a look and they are all tall and pretty narrow, I need short and wide.
But I just found a spot on the passenger side firewall I reckon will be perfect for a job like that

Keep in mind Winnie it needs to be above the level of the cap.

What about this - it's for an EA falcon but might do the trick....

This is mine, 50x75x300 Aluminium, the centre fitting comes from the radiator, the end 1/4 fitting is overflow and the other is 3/4 inch for a bung to fill it. It also has 2 7/16 button sight glasses to top it off.
It fits snug up under the lip that the quarter panel bolts to.

I wnt to local fabricator and got it made it was a couple of hundred mostly in labour. The centre fitting has a tube that runs to the bottom too like the cap on the factory bottle

Look like that might be the way I have to go. Ill see what supercheap and Burton's have tomorrow if they might have a universal type that will fit.
