Bullbar mounting points same across all GU?

Looking to get a second hand bullbar off gumtree but seller is unsure what model it's from, just wondering if the mounting points for bullbars have stayed the same? Or which years are different?

98 to 2004 will be the same bar, 2004 (GUIV to current) will probably bolt up but the front is a different shape and would look Odd.

The grill is deeper for the 2004 - current models, so the bullbars have a thinner top section ( cut out ) to allow for the grill going through the section where the early bar was flat across the front of the bottom of the grill.

If you can handle the gap between the bar and the grill, the new bars will fit on the 1998 - 2004 models.

and, only because of the grill, the older bars won't fit the newer models ...... :)

Doesn't fit!! Won't slide in far enough, can only get the first horizontal bolt in.. Must be 04 or newer, Anyone want a tjm deluxe bar for $550?
