Hi,
Did you get an actual recall or are they doing it when they service the Patrols?. Still have about 4k before next service for mine.

OK wonder how they are going to get the ones that don't get serviced by Nissan, they will have to send out a recall I assume.

They probably put the previous version in so it would need to be changed again.
What did they charge you?

Just got one. Has anyone else done the recall yet?
Have read of others reporting this fixed an issue with acceleration lag between 2-3gear in autos during rapid acceleration.

mines already been done, and why shouldn't they give my money back for a part that they are now admitting was faulty? also there would be quite a few people out there that have already swapped it over before hand because thats how i found out why my truck was playing up. i only bought the part and fitted it myself, cheers.....

just called nissan today and i could have fallen off my friggin chair, their sending me a cheque and full $440 should be in my hot little hands by the end of the week! so lads who ever has bought a replacement pedal before this recall get onto nissan and get back your bugs bunny. all i did was take in the receipt ( if you havn't got one you will need to get hold of it) and not sure how the fellers that got their's from other sources besides nissan, NIZZbits for example will go but if you don't ask you don't get anyway give the receipt to reception at nissan service and ask them to email nissan head office...
cheers G

I was really surprised to see so many have already had theirs done, when I called my local dealer a couple of weeks ago they told me there were no parts in the country to have it done and to call back at the end of the month... seems like I was fed a load of bs.

I rang up on the 4th, they mentioned once they got the parts they will ring back and book a date/time. They phoned back last Friday and car was repaired yesterday. They mentioned they are doing roughly 5-10 cars a day.

Had mine done. I have noticed a difference.
Particularly when turning into a couple of streets around our area at low speed and then accelerating.
The vehicle seemed to have a very slight flat spot. Since the pedal was done it no longer does it, feels much smoother.
I had not mentioned to my wife what I thought.
Today, she drove the vehicle and when she got home she commented that the flat spot seems to have gone.

Ben,
You have a different throttle pedal to the 3 Litre one, so yours is OK.
Yours is cable connected whereas the 3 Litre is Fly by Wire

I just brought a 2010 CRD auto,.. Picked it up yesterday. It has a little sticker ( red border red triangle top corner) inside drivers door. On it is R1034??? Same number as original post and the date of 5/11/13.
I'd say they have replaced the part. What part exactly was replaced and what problem did the faulty part cause ?

I purchased my 08 CRD a few weeks ago and can't find any stickers, the previous owner was a mechanic and servied his own vehicle so i'm gathering this is why there is no stickers. I only get a 3 month warranty so i was going to book it in for a thorough check but it aint a nissan service centre. Should i book it in to a nissan service centre so if there is any parts that need to be replaced (by recall) or will a non nissan service centre be able to do this?

Nissan is out of stock in Oz atm so have handed the VIN number and they will ring when its in.
You reakon they would have ordered enough stock to cover the amount of recall letters that the gov sent out.

More stock must have come in. Ours is in getting it fitted as we speak but were told about a week or so ago that they were out of stock.

Rang up and now waiting for parts. Lady said, it could easily be after xmas until new stock arrives, as they were apparently overwhelmed with bookings.
