On that note mate I just brought a 03 td42i that just got service before I brought it and I lose sleep at night that they not put the correct coolent in there I just not had the time to replace yet as I want to do hoses and belts and remove radiator while I'm there
I may just being picky though but that's how I roll with my cars

G'day Frankie,
as above.
The number rating on brake/clutch fluids I believe refers to 'quality' . The higher number, the higher it is rated for performance.
Coolant is another matter though as there is a risk of one maker's product being disastrously incompatible with anothers.
As an aside, I like to use a different colour fluid when I change as it makes it easy to see when each line is clear.
Cheers
Col

Some types of Brake fluid should never be mixed!

IMO you should never mix another oil with another anyway, keep same brand same grade but correct me if I'm wrong!!

Keeping to the same brand is not always possible. Keep to the same grade and you should be fine........ I've not any issues with this, with any fluids I've changed or topped up
