So I ordered the proper dual filler neck for the aux tank I'm going to put in. Cringed at the price but I want it done right.

Anyways spoke to blokes at Patrolapart about the pump set up. Apparently most people on the gq set up don't get any cut off set up and just watch the aux gauge or even time the flow rate when transferring across so you know when to switch off without running dry.

Surely there has to be a way to have a set up so the pump will shut off when dry or some kind of sensor out there???

I was thinking of getting a low pressure faucet pump???

Sensor??? Surely gotta be something out there?

How does the gu transfer work as they shut off when empty...

You could put a level sensor in it and use that to switch it

I have a setup here I will have a look for you

Yep for sure, didn't think of that.

I don't trust myself watching a gauge or timing. I have left many of ovens on when grilling cheese on toast... Lmao

Why not just look? You watch the main tank gauge don't you?

Yeah I can of course and thats what everyone does apparently but would of been nice with a cut off in case you forget and drive for another 2 hours with the pump running dry.

Ok, so your running a transfer, not pick up..
Fair enough wanting a shut off then. What's the chance of grabbing a gu setup..
I think we know someone wrecking a gu..
