really needed to go forward probably 3" to match up with the original intercooler, but then it would have hanging over the edge of the bulge, will wait and see what its like once I purchase the cross country cooler.
heres the front bracket I made out of some 23 x 3 s/s

also had to modify the middle 2 "t" bolts in the scoop, they were a bit short,i cut off the old thread and tig'ed on 2 m6 x 25 s/s counter sunk cap screws

Bit of an update, the egt's were higher and rise faster than with the standard scoop, partly because there is an opening next to the cooler twice the size of the cooler???,so I've fitted some rubber matting under the scoop to hopefully direct all the air through the intercooler.went for a short drive and it's definitely better, still not perfect though

See if you can come up with some kind of aero Vane that will drag say 50% of the air going in to the front of the IC.
It will all want to go to the rear anyway, That's how my larger scoop works, meaning its suppose to work at a lower speed
say 60kph instead of 80kph like OE

just got a bit more info regarding the approx' location of where a cross country cooler will fit, about 520mm from the rear of the bonnet to the front of the cooler,so I may have to re position the scoop maybe??
