Good evening my little chipmunks!

I think It's about time to let everyone know what a great network we have here from all parts of the world and how the generosity of the members always astounds me!

I really don't know how this happened but we have built a great network built on friendship, trust and respect.....Awesome!

In the beginning I struggled with running this place financially with the growing numbers and demand for more bandwidth and storage and here we are today owning our own server to run NP.

Without many of you we would not be here so thank you!

The forum is now self supporting the expenses based on the support for the member sponsors (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/sponsorship.html), vendor sponsors (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forums/forumdisplay.php?30-Vendor-Thread), Matespace, Google Adsense (When you blokes click on an advert within other parts of the site we get paid a small amount like on the 4WD Pro Tips page (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/4wd-pro-tips.php)) and Ebay (The ebay listings of Patrol Parts (http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/parts.html), we get paid a commission when you click through those ads and bid or buy something on Ebay within a certain period...I think 10 days or something).

Each time you blokes click on that it all adds up and with growing numbers It's starting to work out.

There has been a lot of donations over the years for different charities and reasons so I want to put it out there to everyone to simply say thank you and it is greatly appreciated for whatever cause!

I remember I went through some crap and you sneaky little muppets organised a donation for me which I didn't like but of course appreciated it and promised I would give something back hence the picture frame which was a nightmare to mount...lol....Thanks to some members in helping of course.

I remember Scotty shouting me a plane ticket to see the QLD blokes for a meet up, Insane weekend and will never forget it, thank you Scotty!!!!

I remember one of the biggest donations to fix poor Healys GU that some muppet sold him in need of some love. A mammoth amount of funds were raised and a huge effort from Johnathon and George in organising it all (Trust me, those two blokes went through shit trying to organise that so well done gents!), the QLD boys in flying down to give their time and knowledge and everyone else who donated and helped out with various skills. Especially old mate Jas who matched the total dollar for dollar. Holy crap Jas that is beyond kindness mate, I don't even know what to say but thank you for your generosity!!!

I remember everyone chipping in to help buy the domain name Patrol.com.au as a back up source in case everything fell to poo! I still have that name blokes and it will not sell. I actually got offered $1000 last year off someone from a security company who wanted the name but I just can't sell it of course. It's our name and maybe we can build something fun off that when I get time to breath...lol

Bob and Doggy.... who have donated more money to me then I deserve. They need to have a life time Forum Sponsor now...lol....Without naming names there are people on here who shouldn't pay for sponsorship due to their situation and no matter how much I try and even just change them over they still pay the bloody sponsorship....lol

Fran (Rick AKA Silver) to get her flowers which is being organised as we speak and we just topped $100 for a nice bunch of flowers. We need to ensure this keeps happening with respect to our old forum member and good friend to many of us!

What else....I'm starting to loose focus now gents and I am really sorry if I have forgotten any milestone donations here so please reply with other ones I may have missed.

Convoy for SidsKids....Sandgroper donations. I haven't followed that properly but I hope that went well Doggy????

Anyways....I am sure everyone is appreciative of this and I want to first hand say thank you and it is never and I mean NEVER forgotten.

But...I know I am about to get flammed for forgetting something!!!

Feel free to show your appreciation and remind me if I have forgotten something...lol

Cheers,
Eric.

For the biggest thing is the meet ups, I love nothing more than getting together with my good mates from all round the country and punching necks and giving cuddles.... err occasionally there is some awesome driving and some drinking of beer.

With out how would I have ever met people from interstate like Kris, Lucas, Benny, Nick, Todd, Matty (forgive me if I have forgot anyone) some of you have become good mates.

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy,

There is a couple of people you forgot to mention(so shame on you). There's that bloke AB who has given countless hours to keep this forum up and running, let the riff raff and no hopers camp at his place.

There are also the Mods(you know who you are) who also work tirelessly to make make this forum what it is today, So a big THANKS to you.

And most importantly and how could you forget her. Your poor long suffering partner who has had to put up with all the shenanigans.

So Andy go and give yourself a couple of quick uppercuts and get back to what you were doing, because mate you are doing it well.

Also thanks to all the above mentioned people in Andy's post, you guys have made this a great place to drop in to.

Mark

As I always say when I welcome in a new member, there is a great bunch of members on here always willing 2 help out when need be.

Over the past week and a bit during the bushfire crisis ( a few towns up from us but 2 close for comfort! ) I received numerous phone calls / sms messages / PM's from forum members letting me know that if me and family needed a place to stay I was welcome at their place, or if we needed anything just to ask.

Really means alot guys n girlz

Think I better go have a bourbon now and harden up, I can feel a tear in my eye

THANKS AGAIN :)

I would say hands down this is the best forum going, the members here including the mods are great people and even tho I haven't met a lot of you I feel I know you just by reading the posts, I thank you all and especially AB and his team of helpers for a great forum!

Thanks Andy, just want to agree along with everyone else, that its great to have the forum.

Hard not to write a big boring blurb here. I do want to at least thank the following categories of contributors (probably should name names, but will forget some, so won't):

Mods - seriously what would it be without their silent contributions
Tech gurus - includes mechanical, electrical, DIY, etc.
Story tellers (just have to mention RLI in this case)
Bunch of Clowns - high volume, one line specialists to keep us all entertained (too many to name, don't know where they get the time)
Organisers - you know, for trips and fundraisers and all things good outside posting on the forum
Regulars - some of you fit all of the above categories and just keep contributing!
Long Distance - don't want to forget all the others that contribute from out of Aus. It really rounds things off to have other ideas and views on things
Everyday people - the rest of us who just enjoy being able to be part of the place, still need all members to make the whole thing work properly

So, thanks especially also to you Andy for the vision for it and those that pitched in early to make it happen (those of us who came later probably don't fully understand who helped it all come together).

A bit of blasphemy now, I bought a Patrol because a mate was leaving and selling it. Wasn't particularly fussed either way, it was just another 4x4.

Then of course you come here and get "converted", so it will be hard to own anything else now. :)

This place has taught me plenty about my Q and the folks I have met here are awesome people.
As BA said, the trips have been sensational. I look forward to every single one. The way Daz led the last one at Knockwood was as good of not better than most club trips I have been on.
IMO one if the reasons for the success has been that every one treats each other with respect and that goes a long way towards making this a great place.
Thank you to all, especially AB for getting the joint fired up in the first place.

Ok TD, all washed and clean now.

I'm sure *you* will agree, now that I'm converted and see the "Patrol light", I was also extra fortunate. I got to go directly to the best - all the capabilities of Q with comfort of U. Ha ha
