I get around 24l per 100.

I would be inclined to suspect your convertor.

other possibility's - one of your breaks is partially on and causing drag - simple to check - go for a drive and see if any of the rims are getting very hot.

Are you running a extendered rotar, and electronic ignition (carby truck)

What is it like on petrol?

Is yours a carby of efi.

The extended rotar button will help it run smother - practically at idle and use a little bit less fuel.

To tell if you have a extended button - bull the disy cap off and have a look at the rotar - does it look like its had a extender piece of metal added ( around 3mm extension on the tip)

I don't think plugs will make a big difference, but you could have one fouled - woth pulling and swapping.

Does the truck idle properly and go ok

I still would be inclined to think its the convertor.
