Hi all,

I've got what seems to be a common problem, the idler pulley for my air conditioning belt is making noise. I've got a new bearing but the instructions say I need a press to change it, could it be done with a vice, or another way without the press?

Thanks

there are a couple of different bearings that it might be. The Idler arm bearing is the most common and it Not attached to the Compressor. The Patrol and Mavericks are different as the Mavs have a Ford Fitted AC often...If its the idler arm pulley that is knackered it unbolts off the front of the motor and is a direct replacement part on the car.
