How to identify 233 or 260 diff?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2004 GUIII wagon and am looking at maybe getting some lockers. Just chasing prices but how can you tell if it has h233 or h260 diff? I know the 260 is bigger but need some help with what to look for or a size I can measure. Anyone got any info?

Check your ID plate on the fire wall passenger side.

Physically they are huge compared to your front diff where as the 233's will be a similar size front to rear. Also check the compliance plate if it's a 260 it should read HH** if it's a 233 it will read HG**

Thanks Nissannewbie, bit dark now but the code makes sense. I looked at bit before and had no idea what it meant. 4wd show on next week so looking to pick up a couple of bargains.
