First time in any Forum ... I think I have blown up my housemates Nissan Patrol :( and am hoping someone, anyone, can help me out eventually with much needed mechanical knowledge & advice

Thanks Westy's ... yea, I just noticed the little green dot ... I think he will have to acknowledge its the head gasket and stop trying to get out of it lol

Thanks threedogs .... I will be a do it yourself mechanic in no time ... or at least be able offer some constructive criticism to the housemate in the meantime :D

Just wanted to let you know by reading, re-reading, scrolling, re-scrolling (getting lost on the way by interesting posts) .. I have already found heaps of info. Well onto the way for the Housemate to fix his Nissan and at least I now know IT WASNT MY FAULT :D

Happy to say we are well on the road to DIAGNOSING the initial problem ... it wasn't me and my driving after all :D yay !!!
Once we found the oil cooler (how did he not know it had one ??) we found the O rings were shot .. to pieces ... am I allowed to use the F-d word lol, because that's a better description ????
Thanks again to everyone who offered advice ... :D
I will be back shortly to find out what to do next ...
