Hey all!
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ryan, im 21 studying civil Engineering (should have fone mechanical right?) and I have a 2000 2.8TDi. I've just taken it over from dad cause he's upgraded to the 2012 model.
I'm in Brissy so we do Fraser/Cooloola and Bribie most regularly. I'm really looking to better understand the car so I can do my own servicing and keep it running for as long as possible and I'm also here to get involved with a 4wd club too. Any info on clubs within the forum would be great!

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you all around the forum.

Cheers

Welcome Ryan.
Pretty sure there is a section on clubs in the area, if not throw a thread up in the QLD section and someone should be able to help.

Yeh thanks everyone. Hahah yeh I needed that manual ASAP cause I was doing the 240k major service myself and I had pretty much no mechanical experience before tackling that one. All went well though!!
Next job is repack front bearings, swivel hub and recondition my trunnion. its a little pitted cause I let it stay dry too long.36068

Any advice on this one? I was thinking sand it back till its nice and smooth and give it a generous coat of engine paint (as its oil resistant).

Any ideas??
