Simple post gents but for years I have been getting the 20 litre drums and pouring it into smaller containers to do the oil change. I always make a mess too...lol
Lashed out and bought a $50 hand pump from autobarn and it makes life a million times easier!!!
No mess, 14 pumps = 1 litre, easy to monitor and took a quarter of the time....did I mention no mess!!
If you service your own patrol then must have accessory for the shed blokes!

about 10 years ago purchaced a 20 lt drum for the 115 yamaha motor
on the boat and promotional item was a pump for the drum
and now use it for both

I can't delo in my area so I just get a drum of shell rimula in an oil wholesale place corner of Dorset rd and Barry st in Bayswater for $90.
You could probably get it cheaper somewhere else but it's right on the street where I work.

I have had one for ages and its the bets for doing diff oil changes :)
