I know we jokingly ask vendors here for discounts, but I thought I would post up discounts I know of available to us.

Repco 10% off with RACQ etc card
Supercheap 10% off with trade card also available to army pers
Harvey Norman 10 -20% off with army ID card
Anaconda 10% off with army ID card
The kitbag 10% off with free membership

Many more I can't think of at the moment

Dunno if this counts but as many here would use SuperCheap Auto they have their club card. It costs you $5 but they give you an instant $10 credit. When you purchase an item show you card, they scan it, and it records everything you have purchased. So no receipt needed for anything you have purchased. Plus say if you buy some thing today for $300 and tomorrow it goes on sale for $150, you get a $150 credit on your account to spend in store. I've had mine since they bought it in and have had around $100 of in store credit to date. I do a lot of contract work for the SCA group and it amazes me how many people say no to this. You can't lose if you say yes and you buy from there.
Not bad for $5 if you ask me.

Most places if you ask for a discount you get lucky. Bunnings do sometimes, I think it depends on the $ spent.
