Whats peoples thoughts on turbo charging a tb42e? is there anything i should do in particular?
I'm only looking in to doing this to gain low to mid power.

Low to mid power equals small turbo equals heat and lots of it and less power than alot of 4.2 turbo diesels getting around
A mate has one with a small turbo, yeah it has the low to mid you are after, but the heat is intence as the turbo is out of its efficiency range in the mid to high rpm. This isnt a back yard setup either.
To get rid of the heat he will be getting a gt3540 or similar to what is used on an xr6 turbo. He will loose the bottom end but gain so much more power and torque else where, it will run cooler and all round better to drive.
A quality ecu, lower compression, a suited turbo will see you having a good 250hp at the wheels.
