Just bought a 99 GU, it has a 4" lift and 35s (Muds).

I want to look into engineering, I know they won't touch 35's. So I might have put some 33's on...

So does anyone have pics of 4" and 33's setup (or similar), or what are peoples opinions on this setup? Does it look stupid? Does it make the lift stick out like dogs b****?

If I wanted to drop back to 3" whats involved? Just some new springs?

Cheers for thoughts!

That ute looks good.

But I reckon its the rear wheels on the wagons that would stick out the most...

Finally found some pics. GU with 4" and 33's, then 35's. Obviously the 35's suit more, but I'm still trying to decide if the 33s look out of place...

Imo sell the 4" lift, grab a good 3" lift and go 33's

A good 3“ lift will flex just as good as a 4.. And less noticeable from cops

It's a good lift when you need a ladder to get in! Hahaha!!! The 4in lift and 35's look mad!

Yes amro each state have different laws in west Australia is 2 in max but you can have a 2 in with 33in tyres. Any bigger and you have to be engineered or you get a vehicle defect notice

hey whats legal lift without engineer in NSW?

Pretty sure now the rules have been standardised around the country that it's the same as Vic. Maximum 75mm without engineering. That can be any combination of suspension lift, body lift and/or tyres but 75mm is the maximum allowable without an engineers certificate.
Do you need anything more than 2 inches and 33's?

Here is a pic of my patrol with a 4" tough dog lift and 285/75 km2's on it , I reckon it looks good. Hope it helps.
