Anyone in Melbourne got suggestions for a tyre shop where I can get a replacement BFG KM2 at a good price?
I only need 1 to replace the one I shredded on the last trip.

I got quoted a good price from Tyre Factory in Dandenong but for a 285/70-17 for $350 which is a great price.
Tyre professionals in Sunshine always do a good deal. Been getting tyres there for years.

Don't mess around with the MTZ's. BFG's are the best you can get for what you'd use them for.

Agree with drew bfg are the go. But ensure the size is right. What size is original ? are you going to have two sets. Speedo and fuel economy may be affected with your decision

275/65-17 are originals.
285/70-17 are normal upgrades

305/65-17 is what I'd like to get.

If it were me, I'd keep the Roadies you've got on the alloys, then get a set of 33x12.5x15 mud dies on some 15x8 steel rims for play............... but that's just me

So if I read this correctly the upgrade from 275's to 285's in my 17" rims is an illegal mod too as only a 25mm increase in tyres is allowed.
So with a 2" lift and new tyres I potentially gain 90mm

Pretty sure that was all talk.
Then she'll probably expect to get rid of my GUrl. Not happening.

It won't cost you much more than just a set of rubber for your 17s

This is true Mick, then factor in fuel savings by running smaller tyres daily. Worth looking into anyway!

I bought my rims for $60 each brand new from one of the 4WD shows, I made a mistake with tyre choice though and new muddies will be in order somewhere down the line.
