View Full Version : Where does this hose go to?!

Hello guys,

So I'm having this TPS problema Im solving on my GU 4.8 and I am now paranoid and inspecting every centimeter of the engine. I found this hose coming out of the intake that has been covered up, any one have a clue where it used to go?

That looks to me it done from factory. Much like the wiring looms in these Patrols, they use one loom for every variant of Patrol, and you just need the added options that will basically plug and play. Or plug and pray....Maybe a different variant of Patrol with the same engine uses that port for something. It could be there for diagnostics??? The plug is removed and a device of some sort maybe put there, for tuning, or fault finding. Looks factory to me though.

Ill let you know tomorrow when I start her up with the new TPS and see what happens when I open that! :)

I wouldnt touch it. Its definately factory.if it's on the intake its going to suck in air from there that wont be filtered.

im guessing its an auto ?
my 4.5 has the same as its auto but my mates manual has it going to the clutch booster
