Hi my name is Graham and I have just joined the thread. this is my first post on the forum.

I have a 2002 GU St 3lt Turbo diesel. Nearly 200,000 klm and still going strong. I do very little off road stuff and use the vehicle to tow trailer boats for work.

In the past I have used Coopers tyres and they have been excellent but the guy at the tyre shop is talking me into Hankook R23. The new coopers are $350 each and the Hankook are only $165.

The sales guy is telling me the Hankook tyres are just as good as the Coopers and will do 70000 klm.

I am finding it hard to believe that a tyre costing less than half of the Coopers could be just as good.

Has anyone had experience with these tyres and what advice would you give me.

Hi mate and welcome to the Forum, I run 2 sets of tyre one being Cooper ATRs found them long lasting and quiet.
Not sure what I'll try next But will look at those Hankooks, thanks, Plenty of info here for you.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Well I have had the Hankook tyres fitted today. First thing I have noticed is how much quieter the vehicle is on the road and the smoother ride.

Tomorrow on the boat ramp will be a big test.
