The dreaded air lock bubble that happens after renewing the coolant . A air bubble gets locked in the back water chamber next to pistons 3 and 4 at the back, causing that spot to overheat and finally blow the head gasket that then lets water into the hot combustion chamber and bam you have a cracked head or worse the hole in the piston scenario, usually they crack at the glow plug. What happened to mine twice anyway.

The engine is low in compression u have a blown engine new one will cost me 6k when I asked if it could b a head gasket I got told no they will never blow on that engine its always the piston s that let go firat as tbey are poorly made

Its a injection pump problem so I got a new pump then told me it must b a problem with a sensor so I got them.to rwplace them all then got told sorry we have no idea what it could be

Why are these places still operating gets me rip ppl off and cant even do basic mecanical checks if it doesnt have a computer issue they are ussless

That's the modern mechanic or more so the modern 4x4 if it breaks,, plug it in to find the problem.
IMO doubt any mechanics these days could strip a rochester or Amal carby and re build it, maybe a chosen few

Yep alot dont know how to diagnose any more. I am lucky the old man did his trade in the army working on anything with a engine, and one mate who did his time at nissan, and another mate thats a truck mechanic.thats why i got the 4.2 none of them liked the other options

Yeah my mate is a truck mechanic so thats the only reason I pulled her down as the zd30 was a old nissan engine from the 60s hw had a fairly good idea of how it worked apart from the electrical side so now I have to slap a new head gasket in and bolts put the new head on n see what happens tonight fingers crossed
