Well good evening (it is evening here at least) everyone in Patrol-land.

I'm writing this from Iceland and I want to introduce my self.

I found this forum a while back and it keeps poping up during search for Patrol related info so I tought I'd tell you about my self.

My name is Pall (Páll) Straumberg, people call me Palli or Straumberg, you pic your poison.
I'm a 24 year old auto mechanic and I have been infected with a terrible disease, the car bug, anything on 4 wheels and can be modified and you have my attention.

I currently own a 1992 Nissan Patrol, RD28T and a 5 speed, with 3 cm lift and 35 x 12.5-15 good-years wrapped around 15X10 white spokes. Apart from the adjustable Konis up front it is standard running gear. I have a 20 something year old VHF radio, 14 year old Garmin GPS unit, 5 year old laptop connected to the GPS to view maps in and bucket style seats.
I have had the car now for 3 years or there about and it is my daily driver.
Since it is 21 years old and I live by the sea and streets here are salted during the winter, rust is starting to take it's toll on the car but slowly but surely that is being fixed one peace at the time.

Currently I'm finishing my apprenticeship so the income isn't all that great and trying to own, use and modify 2 cars ain't cheap (preaching to the choir?) so it is currently being built from leftover stuff and used parts that others have left behind on their journey for bigger and better things.

Yea i said 2 cars, I also own a 1978 Chevrolet Nova Custom, running 350 SBC with a TH350 8,5" 10bolt 3,08 gears with a posi and 295/50-15 rear and 225/70-14 front if any one is interested.

I don't have many pics of the Patrol, but here are some so you can see my "beast"

Here it is on 32" like it was when I bought it.

So I found a hole under the snow... but here it is on 35"

https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/485196_10151568936810126_842121268_n.jpg

Down we go

And up the other side

This was not that steep, you can see the horizon in the bacround and how tilted it is...
But this is a good side view of the Patrol.

The last 4 photos were taken by a friend of mine, María, and are here with her graceful permission.

And if anyone was wondering about the Nova here it is my beauty. (I promise not to blather about it here, it is just here to introduce myself)

I like to travel around Iceland when I get the chance specially during the winter.
I'm also an active member in the Icelandic drag racing club, and have been a part of a service team for a rally car.

With greeting from up above and I hope to have a good time browsing this forum.
Palli Straumberg.

I thank you for the warm welcome, Since my introduction I have been busy wrenching on my Patrol so there hasn't been allot of time between work and Patrol-ing. I may not be the most active member but I may start a build thread later on and tel you a bit more about my Patrol. And IF it ever gets good enough to do some 4wheelin I'll try and post some pics and a travel story maybe :)

Gaman að sjá að íslenskir jeppakallar eru að skrá sig hérna.
Nice to see more Icelandic jeepers is coming to the site.
