Looking at goin over to the dark side an buying a patrol ( own three and a half cruisers flame suit on already :p) he he . Old school wrencher looking at getting a helping hand with with electronic gizmos associated with the cars these days.
Got my eye on a 2010 Patrol ute (ex Ergon Energy vehicle) to take me and the missus arround the block towing our Track Trailer Topaz van.

Thanks for the welcome. Will post some pics up in member's rigs when (if) I pick up the truck. Hey Threedogs Iam affraid to ask what's your slant on why the 4.2 is better? I figure because it's an old school motor ( like me old school) without all the electronics. I did look at the Ex Telstra 4.2 utes but rare as rocking horse poo in Qld. They all seem to be the CRD motor Patrols up here.
I must admit the electronics have me a bit stumped and I have some misgivings as I plan on some remote touring. I have been looking arround for quite a while and when I came across this Patrol I figured it was a pretty good unit as well as a good deal. I figured the mob that owned it just dropped it in on ARB and just said fit whatever you got. Lockers, dual bats, recovery hooks F+R, winch bar, winch and upgraded GVM. and not to mention the tray and boxes supplied by another mob. All in all it's just about what I want.
Cheers
Gary

29 big ones has 83k on it. i must admit it has everything I want on it even down to an electric brake controller and 175 amp Anderson plug for charging up my van. Would only have to change over the trailer plug. Just got to get my finger out an decide to bite the bullet an go CRD.
