Rear Sliding Windows. Anyone got them to open and lock from the outside?

G'day,
Has anyone ever made it possible to make the rear sliding windows open/close and lock from the outside? I have seen in a issue of 4x4 Action a dude bought some that flip up, but...... Very expensive.
I have been looking at latches and things but not sure how you would go about attaching it to the glass.

I reckon it would be pretty easy to do actually. There is a hole in the window glass already. You just need a catch that suits.

Even with the cargo barrier in though I have no real trouble reaching in the rear side door and opening the sliding window. Are you having trouble with that?

Nah I was going to build a little enclosed compartment to have all the auxiliaries, switches air and water and what not, so it was easily accessed without having to open the rear door. I normally just have the window open a beesdick when driving tracks or camping, but I forget to close it and I don't what to have my stuff nicked.
