No I don't want you to vote for me on facebook.... the company I work for sent out an email today, I will just paste it here.
As you are aware we are making strategic changes to the business with the plans on track. As a reminder the reason for these changes is to give us a competitive advantage by increasing service in the 3 key customer segments being industrial, domestic and commercial. Underpinning these strategies will be far greater stock availability and branches set up to help contractors to create sales/upsell opportunities for their customers.
The initiatives already achieved are:
1. The correct structure to ensure we work as a team including a new Chief Operating Officer, a Strategic Project Manager, a Merchandising Manager to oversee the roll out of our new look branches, dedicated Management for Mining & Industrial Branches and a State based Management Team saving money by avoiding duplication and increasing teamwork between brands.
2. Dedicated sales teams in 1) Mining & Industrial 2) Major Contractors 3) EPC’s
4) Energy Efficiency and 5) Government. So far we have won Yancoal and Xstrata Contracts worth $20 million plus we have several other large prospects where we are down to the wire.
3. Our new CRM system is operational
4. Pronto is rolled out to Rexel, Inaco and Malaga in WA
5. I-Phone and I-Pad Apps are operational
The next things you will see are:
1. Examples of our new look branches Kewdale WA in November Parramatta NSW in December Mitcham VIC in December
2. Smartphones for all Managers
3. Our NSW DC will be fully operational for 15,000 products by the end of the year.
Lastly the term ‘Strategic Change’ or ‘Transformational Change’ while arguably accurate descriptions are not particularly catchy. We will be running a competition to come up with a name for our change project. I invite you to submit your idea remembering the changes are all about customer service/ customer focus. The winner will get a home entertainment system worth $3,500.
So I'm asking for your help to come up with a catchy and relevant name for this "transformational change"
A winning suggestion will result in a slab of your favourite thirst quencher.
