A lot of confusing info about wheel offsets around so feel the need to get my question answered here. I have a GQ Patrol Wagon with a 2" lift. Currently have 265x75/16 BFG's on white 16x7 ROH Steels (offset unknown) which do not scrub at all (have about 2" flares).

I am getting 285x75/16 BFG KM2's and would like black 16x8" wheels.

Which offset do I need?

Thx
Tony

As Darren said, - 13 would be fine, you could go up to - 22 if you like but I would not go more than that

I do remember a few months ago there a post of a guy who bought -13 wheels and realised he could have went to -22 for a better fit/look. But I try looking for it quickly but couldn't find it, also can't remember if GQ or GU. Will have another look later on.

Thanks guys. So a -13 would be more flush with the guards and a -22 would stick further out. Is that correct?

The difference between a -13 and -22 is 9mm. So a -13 rim will be inside the guard and comfortable. A -22 will be right on the edge in a 16x8 rim with a 285 on it. If you fit a 305 you will likely be just bulging outside the guard. Your choice mate. What are you after.

Neither will scrub.

Hi guys..!!! need your help on wheels. I have a 1992 GQ Diesel 4.2..i am planning on getting new wheels from tirerack.com. So far I am interested in getting 15x8 with offset of -19mm and backspacing 3.7inch. My question is: will it fit my GQ comfortably without any lift? so far my car is stock. And I'm also thinking of getting 31x10.50..thanks for your reply...cheers!
