Unifilter and 2013 3liter CRD??

Hey all, what the general go with Unifilter snorkel pre filters?? I bought a few of them and they look OK but what about the oil in them? Is that a issue??

Are you yusing your all the time.....I bought them aswell and then read not to be used over a certain speed and only in like really dusty conditions (like a convoy)......Correct me if I am incorrect..As for the oil there are probably Ok with the oil the same as motorbike aircleaners we oil ours after rinsing them with petrol..

I thought the consensus was they played up with the MAF sensor.

It's a pre filter so that means its before the main filter! A couple of members have used them on here in convoy conditions with good results. Day to day driving on the bitumen you won't see any benefit but if you constantly drive on dusty dirt roads then they are good.

Thanks guys. I plan on only using it when on dusty roads... My main worry was oil some how making it into the inlet manifold etc. But as has been said it has to go through the main filter first....
