hi guys, recently I took my l/r tank out and cleaned it out.Found that the metal covering on the inside was flaking so I gave it a good rinse(quite few actually) and wacked it back in as I needed it out of the workshop before Monday morning. But I am thinking of either replacing it or using this POR-15 stuff.has anyone here used it as I'd like to know peoples thought that have tried it.here is a link to what I am looking at. http://ppcco.com.au/kits3.htm

Yeh mate I have used it on my bike tank previously, make sure you give the tank a good clean by putting some petrol along with a good length of chain and shake the bejeezus out of it, then tip it all out and then rinse again, that gets rid of all the loose stuff and gets rid of any cloying in the tank si it can adhere well.

G'day fellers,
I know this is really dumb, but is there any chance that a shaken iron/steel chain could cause a spark in a steel tank?
If it was me, I'd use diesel rather than petrol.

Col,good question but I need not worry as my car is diesel mate, also no point using a chain as the baffles run from top to bottom thus I'm still not sure if this sealer weould work very well that's why I thought i'd ask if peoples here had used it,also being a l/r tank I wonder if I would need 2 lots but this I can ask at the shop I suppose if I do go down this path
