Hey guys long time follower first time poster. From perth wa and on my third gq. I think i finally got the combo that have always wanted.
Gq manual with an EFI tb42, my only problem with it it over revs pretty much all the time, does any know how the revs can be adjusted or does it come with an auto choke that i can disconnect?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks again Zombie Hunter. :)

Do you mean it has a high idle? Is it consistently high or does it vary a lot? Get a timing light and make sure your timing is at 10 degrees btc. Use a multimeter and back probe the tps. At idle it should have a voltage of about 0.4v. Then after doing these steps, there's an aac valve on the back of the intake plenum, closest to firewall, that has a grey flat blade adjustment screw. This will adjust your idle speed, but make sure your timing and tps are set first. If the idle is inconsistent you may need to remove the aac valve assembly and clean out the internals with carb cleaner.
They tend to get dirty over time and the spring/valve inside don't operate as freely as they should.

Okay ill have a look at those, the car just revs high all the time. Is there any adjustment in the tps at all? Timing is perfect, so ill have a play with the idle screw aswell.

Tps has a big impact on idle speed especially if it's set wrong. Just undo the top and bottom screws(don't remove them, only loosen) and you can rotate the assembly.

Okay had a look at them already on the weekend and they were really loose if previous owner took it off how would i adjust it from scatch.

Okay so i don't think its th TPS. I did have a play with the idle screw and it did come down a bit just wondering how much i can undo that screw without doing any damage.

Won't do damage. You can unscrew the thing completely if you want, not that you would want to.

Okay cool i was just reading an other post too about tunning it, talking about unplugging the TPS and AIC or some thing like that around that idle screw. Starting the car and adjusting the screw then turning it off plug them back in then restarting it. Gonna try that on the weekend.

Does it do it while you are driving escpially going up hills = clutch slipping.

Or is it high idle while you are sitting at the lights?

Faulty thermostat can allow engine to run a bit colder, as a result computer sets engine to run a little faster.
also could be faulty temp sender.
some possiblities.
