G'day all. Been lurking as a guest a few times enjoying the wealth of information that this site holds.
Purchased a 93 GQ LWB a few months back. The bus is not a daily driver, with the intention being to give my 11yo son and I a chance to start getting into some outdoor recreation of the motorised type! Good bonding time!
This is how it was when I purchased it

It is on dual fuel but other than that it was pretty stock at the time I purchased it, other than a 2 inch lift and 33's. It has done a little over 275k and is in pretty good knick. Have been slowly plugging away at it to get it looking less 'grandpa' looking. This is where I am at now:

Will be looking at replacing all of the body mounts over the next few weeks - has the old clunk under the feet so if I am going to do one, may as well do them all. All bushes were done a few years ago so they are tight as. looking to upgrade shocks all round as the ride is far too firm for my liking.
As for me, always been into cars. Have another toy in the collection, more of a cruiser.

Have heaps of Q's to ask about suspension set ups, mods and other things, as well as hopefully finding out, and learning about, off roading.
Cheers

Cheers for the welcome and interest fellas. Sure am looking forward to getting into things.
Toddie, still have the white bar - it is a decent winch bar too. Looking to give it a lick of black paint, straighten it up a bit and then refit. I know the alloy ones ain't the best for going bush with!
Chilledwun, the old beetle wears many a guise. Damn simple car to work on and modify, and they take a beating believe it or not. Happy with mine - has a bit of poke - 1904 stroker with mild cam, ported heads, ratio rockers, big bore pistons with dual 36 IDF Webers.
