Hi Team,

I've just purchased a 93 TD42 GQ Patrol after ditching a 2007 120 series Prado. What can I say, I'm keen to see what the old girl can do. I know these GQ's are virtually indestructible. My better half has a sweet 92 solid axle Hilux that we'll be comparing offroad. Let the games begin! Haha

At the moment the GQ is stock standard and hasn't been abused but the plan is to deck out the old girl into the ultimate tourer!

Have already bought the the dual wheel carrier rear bar and over the next few weeks/years I'll be looking at purchasing a 2 inch lift, roof rack, cargo barrier, DIY rear drawers, DIY roof console, rock sliders, scrub bars, and a winch to join to the lonely bullbar. Could be a slow process depending on the piggy bank but I'll get there.

Reading the threads on here is invaluable and I can't wait to get stuck into doing these mods myself. Hopefully see you out bush some time

Cheers guys
Jen
