Hi all,
Having a major issue with my transfer case at the moment, its a 92 GQ wagon which was originally an RB30 and has been converted to a TD42, I purchased the vehicle after the conversion had been done and was told that the new motor and boxes were from the same year model
The problem that i am having is that when it is 4WD the case feels as though it is skipping teeth, after referring to the workshop manual and discovering the chain drive have narrowed it down to this, Im trying to track down either a full rebuild kit including this drive line bearings and seals or a shop that will do a rebuilt exchange, I have tried terrain tamer and they can only do the seal kit and chain but not the drive cogs but as i am lacking details on the case this makes it harder to track down through factory parts, the only details i have for the case is that it appears to be an alloy case and has no sump as i am unable to find any case numbers or further details, any help on this would be greatly appreciated
