Hey folks I urgently need feedback on below tyres from those who have them, as I've just got an offer for a set of one of these that it's hard to refuse, but I need to let him know soon what offset rims to slap them on, and it's something I failed to research prior.
285/75/16 ( 33x11.50 R16 )
305/70/16 ( 33x12.50 R16 )
on a 2009 GU ST wagon with a 2" lift.*
i could search the forum, but thats very tedious from motorculture atm and no access to PC as I'm out and a out with work.
if someone out there running one of the above on steel rims, and can post what offset theyre comfortably running, would be great!!

Threedogs has 305 16's on steel rims, he might be able to tell you offset.

No idea of the off set, but no issues of rubbing with the 305 mtzs.
@ Hodge you gone down a rim size to get better selection of tyres

I did a quick search and seems for a GU is -13, or -22 if you want out of the guard a little and fit something to the flares on the guard.
Some please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks mego. I'd like something flush with the guard as best as possible without rubbing or if bits of plastic need a small trim I can deal with that. Quick googling on phone keeps popping up negative 13 as mentioned.

I also found this from Grand Master NissanNewby.
Stating GU norm is -13.
This is gospel. Lol

Ok....
Nissan factory offset is Positive10 (+10)
I have 285/75/16 and have them on neg6 (-6) offset and they are on the edge of the factory flares of my GUIV.
If you run a 305 it is a little wider I would go maybe zero offset. Neg 6 would have them comfortably on the edge of the flare.
If you run 285s then you could go to a neg13 but that would be about it. Without the need to fit rubber flares

I work at a tyre and wheel wholesaler and the correct offset for 16x8 aftermarket wheels to suit a GU patrol is -13 although you can fit -22 that offset is more suited to the car that shall not be named (toy boat a)
